Salma Siddiqui is a biochemist, teacher, and author. Her latest work is The Migrants, a historical fiction novel based on her family’s lived experiences.
SALMA SIDDIQUI was born in Rawalpindi. She migrated to the United Kingdom with her family when she was nine years old. Salma is a biochemist, teacher and author. After over a decade of research at St Georges Hospital Medical School, she took a break to raise her family. She resumed her career as a biology lecturer and produced a series of textbooks. ‘Comprehensive Practical Biology for A-Levels’ is being used internationally and is on sale on Amazon. Her ‘Junior Science’ course is being taught throughout Pakistan. Her latest work ‘The Migrants’ is a historic fictional novel based on her family’s lived experience during the Partition of India and life in Pakistan and the UK.
For the last twenty years, Salma has been teaching biology, mentoring students around the world. She has authored a series of academic textbooks and has recently published her first novel, The Migrants, which is available on Amazon on both Kindle Edition and in Paperback.
She has recently published A-Level Biology practical workbook and IGCSE Biology Practical workbook.
Salma is currently working on another A-Level Biology textbook and a cookbook is in the pipeline.
She is an award-winning cake decorator. She spends her time teaching, reading, writing, cooking and gardening.
